Covering PSU cables with red electrical tape

I was thinking of coating my power supply cables in red PVC electrical tape for aesthetics, instead of buying a pricey wire sleeving kit. If you take your time and do a good job then it should be fine. Dont wrap it around to tightly though.

I will take my time and be careful, but why mustn't I wrap it tight? Is there anything I should keep in mind not to damage the PSU / Wires?

Where each individual wires spreads out near the end, you don't want to wrap the tape around them to tight

Might as well put red electrical tape over the window panel of the case.

meh. too much time/effort for most likely not good looking results.

just get a can of spray paint and cover the plugs with tape while using it.
