The 7790 is the better card.
You can see the difference and look at the different pages to see the different in fps.

edit: The 7850 is also on this chart

If you like AMD the 7790 would be better if you can afford it. Although once again, for gaming don't expect to max alot out. Also if you can find a amd 7850 for the same price it is even better, it can max a few games and it comes in a 2GB version as well. if not the 7790 is great.

For the GPU for what you want to do (3D editing and rendering) I would advise a Nvidia gpu, AMD gpu's can do the job but Nvidia just wins in that area. For a performance Pc a gtx 760 would be great if you can afford it, or if you can afford it a gtx 770.

Also depending what you want to do more VRAM might be beneficial. Also you probably won't need a cooler for the cpu, personally for me the stock cooler is fine if you don't overclock and on that cpu overclocking shouldn't be needed.

Also with that build if you can also invest in an SSD for startup and things you want to run faster, and the HDD for storage. There is a difference in speeds but a HDD should be fine anyway.

Can you find the gtx 650 ti?
The AMD 7770 beats the 650 in gaming but like you said, you'll be doing 3d work and Nvidia is supposed really good at that. If you can find a 650ti and not break your budget it would be a good buy.

Also don't expect to max much out with a 7770 or a 650ti. Also you may want the 2gb version of the cards for what you want to do.

Remember his budget, It doesn't exactly meet all of that.

Also it depends how serious of 3D programs you are using.

Performance vs price it's not too bad. Also if you can I would recommend 8GB's of RAM. 8 is the sweet spot for RAM.
