I was just wondering if 8GB would be enough for gaming and general usage:
light/medium multitasking
web browsing with multiple tabs
some programming
shadowplay recording
light video editing/occasional uploading.
is 8GB enough for this?

so your cpu is capable but your mobo restrains you from running higher. so any 1600mhz would work for you. make sure you prefer cl timming of 9 and below for best performance!

it will be enough. Finding the best match though, you need to state the cpu-mobo you will be using and your budget.
