I just installed a samsung 840 pro 512 gb in my pc, going to migrate the OS from the HD to the SSD.

I bought Paragon migrate OS to SSD 4.0 and want to use it to transfer the OS only, not any other data folders i have saved on the HD

The Samsung evo pro comes with software too, the data migration and magician software.

Will the samsung and paragon programs conflict with each other?

If not, do I just setup and run the Samsung software first before I run Paragon?

thanks

The Samsung Data Migration is a Windows based program to "clone" your entire HDD to the new Samsung SSD, space permitting. DO NOT run this program.

You can however install Magician AFTER the Paragon Migrate has finished doing its thing. I would save this...

thanks YOGI!

I installed the SSD, added and connected the new sata data cable and power connector on the motherboard and ssd.

I just booted up and I'm not seeing the drive on the computer.

I should see it even if I haven't ran the Paragon or Samsung software yet, right?

That is prolly b/c you have not formatted the SSD nor given it a drive letter.

Before you do anything else, read the Paragon instructions very carefully and then follow them to the letter! DO NOT do anything, like you just did, unless the Paragon instructions tell you to.
