In a moment of pure stupidity I chose to install a Windows 8.1 optional update last night that read
"Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. - Graphics Adapter WDDM1.3 - AMD RADEON HD 6670".
On top of being stupid enough to install it I ignored the fact that Microsoft provided no information about the update.
Well, as soon as it installed Catalyst Control crashed. I have tried rolling back drivers, re-installing Catalyst. I am unable to find an uninstall option for the "Installed Updates", other than the history showing that this was installed.
Any one have any ideas on how to remove this update as there is no uninstall option. And yes, I have checked with 'view installed updates' as well as without.
If this helps, the 'device manager history' for the video display adapter states,
"Driver Management concluded the process to install driver
cu171190.inf_amd64_0ac955a49dab3963\cu171190.inf for Device Instance ID PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_6758&SUBSYS_03EA1043&REV_00\4&3C0D220&0&0010 with the following status: 0x0."
As the problem doesn't go away reinstalling Catalyst Control I need to get rid of this MS screwup, and then I'll beat myself up some more for being so stupid as to update my drivers without a good need to do so.
TIA.
