I read on the box that i need win 8 to run the gpu is that true? Am with win 7 ultimate do i need to install win 8 to run this gpu

I think the box says "windows 8 compatible" and not "only for windows 8"? Anyway it should be windows 7 compatible.
Even in reviews it can be run on Windows 7 so it should give you no problems.

No it won't make any difference only that you can use it on Windows 8 too.

You can run it on windows 7 man. There just advertising its compatable with the new OS.

I have that same card. Works great. Just waiting until i can afford another for SLI and 120Hz monitor
