Hitman series better than Metal Gear series

I have played both , story line , plot and playability i have to vote for MGS
Enjoyed both but MGS was in a league of its own

Besides, from my point of view, only the first hitman was good. It felt realistic as you had to be actually smart about your kills.
In fact, it was far easier to NOT kill anyone except your target as every found body increased the danger, and most of the time bodies were found.
From that point on, the next hitmans became mostly shooters in my book.
I didnt actually play metal gear solid, but I have many friends whos opinion I trust that say its very good.
One thing I do not know if true (from my point of view) is that the older MGS seemed to be stealth based games and now they are action games.
If thats the case, that is not very cool. When this happened in Splinters cell series I was very disappointed.
Thats not to say that the later series cant be good, but if the style changes completely, most expectations from older fans like myself tend to lose interest in the series.
If you are trying to argue with a friend over a game he did not even try to play, you are both wasting time, and more importantly getting upset for no reason.
