I am not sure what the issue is with this monitor but I am getting pretty tired of it. I think its backlight bleed? I am referring to the top and bottom of the monitor, they have a negative looking effect. if someone could point me in the right direction of fixing it I would surely appreciate it. The monitor model is Flatron W2240T

Assuming that's supposed to be a black screen, your issue is in fact backlight bleed on the left and right sides of the monitor, and a pretty extreme case at that. Fixes are iffy ... you can attempt to remove the bezel and see if the frame is pressing against the screen. Sometimes if the frame is putting excess pressure on the screen, it can cause that issue. It is possible that the top and bottom are experiencing that issue as well, or in lieu of the left and right, giving you the "negative" effect you mentioned.

After removing the bezel i did notice that it wasn't applying pressure to the actual screen, rather just holding it in place because once the bezel is removed the screen just falls out. I did test it once it was out of the case as well and the problem persists.
