Does this laptop need drivers?

I reset my friends Toshiba Satellite A505 series laptop to factory settings and it configured and installed all the needed drivers (i thought). The GPU (GMA 4500MHD) ran only 1 FPS on FurMark. When my friend first got it, small gaming and videos were possible. Does the laptop need the GPU dirver or is the GPU just like that? Please help.

The factory default software includes all the needed drivers. As to that video, Intel GMA 4500 is a really weak, even compared to current Intel HD graphics. Consider that FurMark is designed to be as graphically demanding as practically possible. If your friend wants high end games, he needs a newer and more powerful machine.

Thats what i thought. I am currently building my PC and I with that knowledge i could tell it wasnt going to run much. He wanted to build but i told him to buy due to his lack of knowledge. But yes, anyways, thank you very much!
