computer specs
corsair cx750 power supply
amd fx8350 processor
evga gtx 770 gpu
current terrible mobo is gigabyte 970ads3p
my hard drive is pretty old, but still working fine. Its 596gb and an hdd.
Hyper 212 evo, I'll be returning this to buy the new mobo.
24" led Samsung monitor
corsair xms3 1600mhz 2x4 8gb ddr3 memory

I just bought the gigabyte 970a ds3p for 59.75 and idk why i expected anything from this motherboard, call me an idiot, i deserve it. Apparently my ram is the corsair xms3 8gb,2x4 1600mhz and this motherboard can only give 1.5v and i need 1.65v. So I would like to know if the asus M5A99FX pro r2.0 is a good mobo for the price and performance and which can run my memory and AM3+ 8350 AMD processor. I would like to just be able to use my computer already. Also, my graphics card is evga gtx 770 if that matters at all and will they work good together? And my case i believe is about a small size or mid tower, it's the antec sonata III it's black and not too big, so will it fit in this? Please and thank you.

Also, would you guys recommend any other motherboards that support my specs and would also be good for my computer, I'm in the price range from 0-$165 or 170. (Asus if possible)

I'm also looking at the ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
And a Crosshair processor, I don't know the exact name because my dad told me about it, but what do you think about these two and comparing it with the m5a99fx pro r2.0

If you enable the XMP in BIOS the memory will run fine. Memory defaults to the MB defaults of voltage & speed. Enabling XMP profile1 will probably set up the memory to advertised speeds. This is normal. Set BIOS to windows 8 if that is your OS. Turn off the integrated graphics too.

Before doing any of the above, start with setting optimized defaults then make the changes.

All the newer Intel based MB's default to 1.5V for the memory and has to be adjusted in BIOS if more or less is needed.

I've decided to go with the Asus M5, it's cheaper and the price of the sabertooth doesn't make up for it.

I think you should have saved a bit more and got the Sabertooth its the best board AMD has . Most stable and the bios is easy for beginners. A lot of the other asus boards I have had problems with down the road. If you have a problem with your new board get the Sabertooth R2.0 its the best asus has to offer and you can pick it up cheaper now a days
