Hello,

I have just overclocked my intel i5 3570k for the first time to 4.2GHz. My Vcore minimum is about 1.008 at idle and maximum is ~1.24 generally lower (using prime95).
Do these look ok for my processor?

I have stress tessed my CPU for about an hour using prime95 max temp being around 81 on the one core and about 79-70 one the rest.

My motherboard is a Asus p8z77-v LX, my PSU is a Xigmatek 500w one. Any more details needed to see if they are good Vcore and temperatures please say.

Thanks,
Jon

I am new to overclocking as well and I have the same CPU as you but different MB. You can check my thread and compare the numbers from tests to see if they are similar to yours...

What is your ambient temperature and what type of test within primer95 did you use?
From what I hear, the temperature should stay under 75 Celsius at 100% CPU load to ensure long life for your CPU.

The ambient room temperature is 22.7 degrees C. I ran blend test but that came to ~70 but when I used real temp and did a sensor test the CPU went up to 81. Normally my CPU, while playing ARMA 3, didn't go above ~65 which I think is good, though not sure.

Thanks for the reply,
