I built my first pc few months back.
i5 4670k at 3.4ghz (no overclocking)
sapphire r9 280x
corsair vengaence 2 x 4gb ram (1600Mhz)
Corsair cx 750w(80+ bronze)
asrock z87 killer mobo.
wd caviar green 2tb
Win 7 ultimate
Using stock fan

Since the day i build it , i am experiencing serious processing issues. What i mean is :
For example
1) If i am extracting a 1Gb file then it changes it state to not responding like 100 times , and take years to extract.
2)Same is with copying a file.
3)Sometimes my games like far cry 3 crashes in between where as bf4 run fines on ultra.
I just feel that my computer does not respond in between for 2 or 3 seconds when i am doing some work.
I did mem86 test and it was clear.
Earlier i had a old hdd , so ithought that was the problem. So i changed it.
But after installing the caviar , there is no relief.
I feel like dual core is better than my i5 right now.
Please help .

What are the temperatures because if you haven'y properly fitted the CPU cooler then it could lead to it overheating and therefore a large performance decrease. It might also have a virus so I recommend scanning your system with antivirus software.

As with most PCs, the hard drive is your system bottleneck. The Caviar green is just a 5400rpm hard drive. You would greatly benefit from installing windows on a ssd. You could also try removing bloatware that could be dragging windows down even more.

Check all your connections between the hard drive and the motherboard. Sata ports, everything. Also run diskchk on the drives in question. I had a sata port on my motherboard that flamed out on me and it took forever to do anything IO related, even with my i7 4770K.

Even the greatest 5400rpm hard drive in the world would be the bottleneck in your system. What are you copying the files to and from? If you're using a $15 Sandisk USB 2.0 flash drive then it IS going to take forever to copy a 12GB file(s)
