Whenever I try to connect a third monitor to my desktop I get that message. I have a dp to dvi (active), hdmi to vga (active), and dvi to vga (passive). Why does this happen? Unless I have something wrong, they should all work. All the monitors are vga only except one which is dvi, hdmi, and vga.

So, what you are telling me is I can't do this. My main display is connected to the dp. The other two have to be vga.

Also, may I be able to connect the third monitor to the onboard graphics having both run simultaneously. (Sorry if this is or isn't common knowledge. Graphics isn't exactly my specialty)

http://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters-Plated-DisplayPort-Adapter/dp/B00BI3YEQO/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1401664905&sr=8-4&keywords=dp+to+dvi+adapter

That is the dp to dvi adapter.

Couldn't find the model. It is just the HD 7770 that dell gives you. Has three ports on the back contrary to the model from amd on their website.

And multimonitor support IS enabled in the BIOS.

And I tried doing it. It is finicky though. When I connected it (pc was on), the monitor turned on then went to sleep. When I restarted it, nothing happended. The two monitors connected to the GPU were the only ones on. And all it does is repeat this paragraph. (BTW this paragraph is when the third monitor is plugged into the onboard graphics)

And BTW the intel graphics does NOT show up in the device manager. And I do have the xps 8500.

The intel drivers are not. Should I install them? They don't exactly work. The last time I tried this, my computer shut down before it could start up and kept doing that loop.

Whenever I try to install the drivers, it says that my computer does not support the minimum requirements. I checked in my devices, and 2500 wasn't there in the device manager..

I tried all of these things but to no avail. I tried to install drivers and all it did was tell me that my system didn't meet the minimum requirements. I unplugged all monitors from the gpu and put the one I am trying to get on the mobo. It still didn't work. I removed the gpu and tried and it didn't work. And yes, I double checked the bios and it is enabled.

Well I repeated the steps again. But this time I got different results.
Here is what I did:
Disabled Onboard
Restart
Enabled Onboard
Restart
Shutdown
Plugged in monitor with hdmi to vga (tried vga didn't work)
Started computer.

Here is what happened:
After last step, computer shut down before getting to POST then restarted and booted up fine but with monitor disabled

Plugged in monitor while windows was on, computer repeated what happened.

I am starting to think it is the PSU but other people with the xps 8500 have done this successfully.
