I have Kingston HyperX Beast 8 Gb RAM (2x4Gb, 2400 MHz) my mobo set the DRAM frequency to what apparently is default (1600 MHz) so I had to manually go into BIOS and set the frequency to 2400 MHz (which my RAM is rated as). I read, both in the mobo manual and the RAM info online that the voltage the RAM is supposed to have when at 2400 MHz is 1.65 V. Whithout me doing anything my mobo apparantly set the voltage to around 1.66 V (when I look into BIOS it is around that voltage atleast) is this bad, should I do anything?

Solution
You are probably better to use XMP in the bios and let the settings be automatic.

The RAM defaulted to DDR3-1600 because this is the stock speed of the CPU memory controller.
Settings above this are over clocking the memory controller in the CPU.
XMP doesn't remove the risk entirely, but at least you will be using settings intended by the RAM manufacturer.

So, there are three different soultions here. Since ou don`t seem to agree I choose to listen too Tradesman since he seems to be the most senior member of you three (and because I am lazy). If someone could vertify this solution it would have been nice though.

So I decided, after looking at the recomendations to set it to XMP profile #1.
