Yes a 770 will be able to run watch dogs on ultra, also remember as Nvidia release more updates performance with it will increase, if it's a little laggy then just reduce the settings slightly, it will make minimal visual difference and big performance difference.

Edit, I should have said probably not at stable 60fps...it will run just not at the best fps. I personally would avoid the game until it's fixed. In the future it will be much more optimised and you may be able to run it at ultra, I would just set it to high and get better fps imo.

um... no the 770 cannot run watchdogs on ultra at 1080p.

on high it can. the problem is currently watchdogs requires almost 3.5gb of vram in ultra... it gums up 780/780tis too... purhaps in a few months when they patch the game the 770 will be able to do it... but right now the game is a mess, and gums up even the strongest machines in ultra.

770 can run the game in ultra I've run it in ultra with my 760 2gb but supposedly its bad to run textures in ultra. heres me playing in ultra with 760-

I am able to run at 1080p, but without ultra textures, 2GB card so ultra is not selectable. I had to drop from 2xTXAA>Temporal SMAA and Detail Level>High to reduce crashing because the game was killing my RAM (would get the warning windows was low on memory and about 10 minutes later crash.) With these settings I am averaging 40-50FPS, but hopefully they will fix the memory bug and I can hike to settings back up, since they only cost about 5FPS.

Maybe. If you have one of the 4GB models, you *should* be able to handle Ultra. But the standard 2GB cards loose a lot of performance on Ultra since WD really needs cards with >3GB of VRAM to handle Ultra.

U can select ultra textures select it before going in game just when you start before pressing continue or new game go to options and you can change but I heard it's bad for your vram but you should be getting around 40fps

I am 100% certain you are not playing in "full" ultra... but with reduced AA settings. Because there are thousands of people owning 2gb 770s and 680s and 670s who cannot play this game in 1080p in FULL ULTRA settings.

The OP asked if he could play watchdogs in ultra. not with "ultra" textures but everything else turned down. So i and everyone else gave him an honest answer. "Not today, perhaps in the future." Right now WD needs over 3gb of vram... basically 3.5gb of vram to play in full ultra eyecandy at 1080p.

I wouldn't worry too much. The 770 is an excellent card, just Watch Dogs isn't optimised in an as excellent way.

The PC Gamer LPC (Running a Quad SLI Titan setup) can't even get 60fps on ultra, so I wouldn't worry too much at this time.

I can confirm that a 770 with 4gbs of vram can run watchdogs on ultra at playable FPSs.

Mine dips down to maybe 28fps when i'm boating around on the water, it runs in the high 50s most of the time, and it's not noticeable that it's not running at 60fps either.

You don't need full AA anyways, it's barely noticeable unless you zoom in on the edges of things anyways.

I was looking around for an answer but everyone says you can't run it on ultra because it needs at least 3.5 gb of vram , OK but what if i have a gtx 770 4GB version will i be able to run Watch Dogs on ultra settings on 1080p ?

my advice is to try and play it 1st you might get random fps drops which is a problem in the game other than that there will be no lag

I'm not sure but you probably can but it depends on what rams you already have if you have 1866 rams then it should work but if not then you cant (if you want to add more rams that is)

I have the gtx770 4gb cards in SLI with a Fx8350. Can not run this game on ultra at 1080p. Any other game my rig will eat for breakfast. This game for some reason will play a solid 60fps and dip randomly to 20fps. It is pretty annoying. I deleted the game.

That probably because you have a FX8350.

An intel i5 or i7 would have no problem maintaining a more solid FPS.

All I can say is Intel CPUs run Watchdogs better.

one month might be too long, as your return policy is usually only 30 days, and they might only replace it with a new same model.

Dont' feel to bad though, Watchdogs really isnt that interesting/good of a game.

It's just, GTA5 with more Computer related crime, and less likeable/interesting characters.

Watchdogs looks fairly good, but that's about it. Unless you REALLY love 3D water, Watchdogs has the best 3D water I've seen yet.
