NZXT SENTRY 3 temperature error

I just bought the NZXT sentry 3 about few days ago ,when all wires was connected and the sensor was put around the processor but it show nothing,if I took the sensor put on finger it will show temperature but when loose it and put it on the processor again it turn to nothing and it can't control any case fans,please help!

While I have yet to work with a Sentry3 the previous models sensors did not connect to the cpu but rather in the area you wanted to monitor/cool.
I suspect the CPU is getting much too hot for the included sensor.
