It's been a few months since I've given building a rig any thought, but I thought about it the other day and threw a build together. I'm not too sure of the compatibility or if I should mix and match parts, or if I need any additions. If people can review the rig and give me feedback that would be amazing. This is what I came up with:

Compatibility looks good, parts can always be mixed and matched, and I'm not sure what else you'd need. System looks solid, but I've read here that ASRock might be flimsy compared to other boards - be careful putting too much pressure on the board.

I changed some things like the RAM/HDD/PSU to more of what you need and cheaper. You don't need a gold rated psu, nor do you need an expensive SSD. The ram you had was too expensive.

I also changed the graphics card from a GTX 770 to a r9 290 which is a stronger card.

Changed the CPU to a better one, still intel, also changed the motherboard to an h97 chipset. You can change the CPu to a 4670k and the motherboard to a z87/z97 motherboard if you want.

Alright thanks everybody for all the feedback. Everything looks good. I've heard of the r9 series but I've never encountered much of them so ill check some benchmarks.
