help on 3570k oc

I have achieved stability on intel burn in test on standard and maximum. But i get single core errors on prime 95 in an hour and on occt @ the 3rd hour. I also disabled the spread spectrum. And i am on offset mode @ -.045.

if you do everything correctly and it fails means your cpu is overclocked too high so lower it.

not all CPUs are made equal some can go higher some lower i have the same one and max i could get it to was 4.4 its really just a matter of luck.

Keep lowering frequency until it makes no errors try 4.0 and make sure you did everything correctly a lot of times it can be a silly mistake that wont let you overclock it higher.

Theres gotta be some other solution. I dont want to lower my frequencies. Im also planning to go 4.4. Maybe ill just go with fixed mode. Thanks for the idea though

You may want to raise your vCore (CPU voltage) a bit higher, or change your vCore offset to a positive offset

no, it means you may not have enough voltage that your core may require.

But its just 4.2ghz. Thats like a piece of cake for 3570ks. So ill just add a bit more until i pass all this tests?

at 4.2Ghz, the voltage should have been increased. Add [0.01V] until all is stable.

I think im stable in -.035 @ 4.2ghz. Ive run prime 95 for 4 hours and no errors.

In running the stress test, i set the ram freq to 1333. Should i run it at its standard(2133)? Its dram voltage is @1.65

I assumed you followed the guide and did voltage increases most CPUs wont run 4.2 ghz without increased voltage 3.4ghz to 4.2 is quite a jump.

Should be no need to go over 1.65 unless Ocing the DRAM beyond spec, and the DRAM should be safe even thenn up through about 1.75

my ram is set to auto but what's written on the left of the screen is 1.65. Should i set at 1.5 or 1.55?

1.65V tends to be that way when the ram is OC'd, though it can be that way for some 1600Mhz modules. 1.5V for 1600Mhz is what you want.
