Also, would an i3 be enough or should I spring foe an i5/7?

Yes an i3 is enough for 99% of games. To run them anyways, you'll have to turn down some settings, but the thing is your budget doesn't fit an i5, and an i7 isn't worth the extra cost for gamin anyways.

BUT you could always upgrade to an i5 at a later time anyways.
