Concern about upgrading GPU

Alright, so I have made a point on upgrading my GPU from Gtx 620 to Gtx 750 ti (either EVGA SC or EVGA FTW) however I noticed something in my motherboard that troubles me a little.

Take a look in the following picture of my case: http://i.imgur.com/syVONQM.jpg

(I will upgrade psu (currently 350W) and redo wiring) With that picture in mind, notice the white box just above the video card, my concern is that if I were to buy the FTW would it colide with said box and ruin my day? Because if that's the case I rather just go for SC edition

The model of the motherboard is MS-7797 v1.1

Thank you for your time.

You're worrying over nothing. That is the way all motherboards are designed that have a south bridge heat sync in the path of the card. It is cut away to allow the card to clear it.

It's hard to tell what the height of that motherboard heat sink is from the picture. But it's right next to another PCI expansion slot, so I would imagine it's not so tall that it would prevent you from using the slot that's to the right of it. Is the white box as tall as the PCI slot to the right of it or taller?

If you're talking about the heat sync just above the card in the pic, no problem. Gfx cards straddle that. That's why part of the heat sync is cut away.

Get whichever GTX 750 Ti has the fastest clock speed. I put a Evga GTX 750 Ti Superclocked in a budget machine a while back ( Phenom II X2 @ 3.4 GHZ). Made one heck of an improvement in gaming. And sips power.

Alright, so I made a few measurements but take in mind that they might have uncertainties. As for the size of the heat sink, it is roughly the same as the size of the PCI-E slot x16 (currently used by my Gtx 620) which is 1cm tall. The mini PCI expansion slot to the right of the heat sink, is a little smaller but only for roughly 0.1cm. I hope that isn't a problem

Well, that is nice to hear, I guess I was a little paranoid wasn't I?

Thank you very much for the help! I guess I will order the card today then. Thank you for your time~ c:
