How to download a DVD to my flashdrive?

You can't run a DVD movie from a pen drive. Copy the DVD another DVD using disc-to-disc copy in your burning software.
If it is just data DVD, just open it in PC and copy all files you want.
If it's video/movie DVD:
Option 1 (manual) is to put dvd into PC optical drive and in my computer right click on that optical drive and choose explore or similar option. There you will see 2 folders, audio and video. You just need to copy content of Video folder to pendrive. After that you can open some video player like VLC and you should be able to choose files on your flashdrive and it should play same as DVD.
Option 2 (less work) is to download software like dvdsmith (google it, it should be 1st hit), it's free software which do +- same as in option 1 just it choose only needed files and it do not copy DVD menu (i think there is option to keep dvd menu but not sure now).
In both cases you will end with multiple big files containing your movie. It will be split into more files not just one.
