Cut scenes in games look terrible help

I play metro lastlight and battlefield 4 the gameplay graphics are fine but the cut scenes look like a ps2 game

I haven't played either of those 2, but cut scenes in many games do look terrible. There is nothing you can do, and they probably were shot for the PS3, or Xbox 360, which are usually 720p, then upscaled to your resolution.
