Best budget hard drive

Trying to find a hard drive that is 1TB plus, I don't mind paying a little extra up to about $70. I originally planned on a seagate drive, or WD blue, but then some of my friends who do the same type of security work as I do say the WD performs fairly slow if you store your vm stuff on it. I can't have a hard drive with any type of ssd caching on it, I have an ssd that I disable in the bios when ever I do work so the files that I work with don't leak out onto my other system that I have some personal data on. I've been doing malware analysis for about 15 years now, and even though the vms even when configured by a professsional like myself some malware still seems to leak onto my non vm system which I run linux on my desktop and os x on my laptop. I'm not really all that knowledgeable when it comes to magnetic media, so I'm looking for advice.

well you had $70 budget in there so i suggested what is best for the price but if price was no object you can get enterprise class drives that have 15000 RPM and theres enterprise class SSD as well that will last 10-20X longer than consumer grade ssds.

the 15000 rpm hard drives get way to hot and are not as reliable as the raptor that I order, and the enterprise ssds at the capacity that I need would be over $1000 so I already ordered the raptor which my friends and co workers use, and it runs just fine. Thanks for trying
