nvidia 337.88 bf4 stuck in windowed

im not sure if its driver yet i did a clean install of 337.50. i removed all traces of 337.88 first then installed 337.50. strange as it only occurred after 337.88 and nothing else changed. went back to 337.88 and same thing. ive tried all other options in nv control panel and in game. when i hit alt+enter the screen artifacts for a microsecond where the game should go to full screen and nothing happens
