Hi All,

I have just put together Intel DZ87KLT-75K and i5-4590, Crucial 8 GB 1600 (1 x 8GB) and connected the HDMI to my monitor with a DVI-D converter. Now there is no display. The LED post code display 00 00. Also the standby LED is turned on. I connected the Keyboard to a High current USB port (USB2) and USB 3 still the Caps lock LED or anyother LED is not turning on.

I removed the RAM module and tried to boot still no difference (i.e. no beeps, no post codes)

Please give your views and suggestions.

Yes, you'd need to update BIOS, but to do that, you'll need a compatible CPU.
There are 2 options:
1. Borrow a compatible CPU from somebody, update BIOS and see if the CPU works (not sure if it will since the compatibility listing wouldn't open for me).
2. Return the board and get a Z97 which natively supports the i5-4690.

Hi Eduello,

I checked everything but there is one thing that the Processor is not listed in compat listing for the Mobo. But when I check the compatible components for the CPU in its intel page it says Z87 is supported. BIOS is needed in this case? How to proceed?
