Hi I have this problem for ages but sometimes it will be gone for few months before reappearing again.

My screen would split into half ...with the left part appearing on right and the right part appearing on left. For instance, the start menu icon would appear on bottom left instead of right and there will be a line in the middle...

I also sent my cpu to shop to check and as the problem randomly occur. Thus, they can't find any problem with the hardware except advising me to reformat the window.

I then checked it with my monitor by switching 2 monitors to test and the problem still occur.I also formatted the pc today and it was ok for 20mins before the same problem happened again.

Some people suggested to me that it could be a mobo failure , some said it's a dying gc. I m using he6870flex fyi. I need advise on what to do. Sending it to the shop would only waste more money if they can't detect the problem and solve it ... Sorry for my English, it's not my mother tongue. Anyway, looking forward to replies from you guys. Thanks in advance.

Nope. The gpu is not overclock ... As of now, the screen turned into weird bar where nothing can be seen..sometimes it even turned into black screen but the cpu is working as indicated by the keyboard light and my external hse light blinking ...

If the card is not overclocked in any other way chances are that your video card is going faulty. When exactly does the "split screen" appear? Is it only when starting up games? Is it when booting up windows? Does it just come up randomly?

Have you done a stress test on your GPU with software like FurMark?

Did you reset your monitor settings? (try it, but I'm pretty sure it's a problem with the GPU and not monitor)

It just randomly appeared. The last time it appeared was 6 months ago... Then, the split screen gone for 6 months and back again 2 days ago. How do I do the furmark test?

My gpu is sapphire...how long is the warranty given? 3 yrs?

Sorry thought this was a fairly new card. You have to check the warranty yourself, I don't know.
Well if this only happens with a 6 month interval, honestly I wouldn't worry too much about it but if it becomes more consistent your card is probably going down.
What PSU do you have by the way? In rare cases this happens if the card doesn't get enough power.
