I'm looking for a low cost RAM upgrade for my PC, from 8gb to 16gb (all ddr3). The problem I've got is my motherboard is pretty crappy and only has 2 ram slots. I can't really justify paying ~£100 for 16gb ram, but at CeX they have 8gb DDR3-1600 ram sticks for £32 each, the only downside is that they're second hand and there is no way of telling which brand I would get. Is it worth the risk of getting these for £64 or should I wait and pay the extra for brand new stuff when I can?

Thanks

I wouldn't buy them unless you know how old they are, have seen them working and been able to run a benchmark on them to make sure they are performing OK.
