Hi guys,

I have an Asus z97 VII motherboard, and while not intentionally Overclocking at the moment, may well decide to in the future.

My current build is as follows:-

Corsair AX860 Platinum PSU
4770k processor
z97 Asus Vii Hero Mobo
G.Skill PC-3-14900 8 GB Main Memory 1,866mhz (F3-14900CL9D-8GBXLD)
2 x GTX 780 in Dual SLI
1TB SSD OS drive
2TB HDD Data drive
1 Blu Ray drive
1 wifi Keyboard mouse combo

When I have two GPUS installed I encounter random reboots - event 41, Bugcheck 278.

My question is could this be becuase of a bad OC?

The memory I bought is on the QVL for this mobo. When I installed the RAM it showed up as 1600MHZ, so I enabled XMP Profile 1 and while this changed it to 1866mhz, the CPU frequency changed from 3.5ghz to 3.9ghz - is this normal and have I done it correctly?

A person who had a similar problems to me reported they were able to fix it by changing the VCCSA voltage in BIOS. They changed this from AUTO to its lowest value possible (0.8). Is this something that I can try, and if so where would I find this value in the BIOS?

I have tried various other problem solving (and was advised to post here) the full details of the other thread can be found here.

I realise it is a long post, so sorry if you managed to get this far!

If you need any more info let me know.

Thanks,

Jason.

Thanks for the speedy responses!

Yes, I have already downloaded the latest chipset drivers from Asus and installed those.

If it is video card driver problem how do I go about resolving it? I have reinstalled windows from scratch, I have updated the GPU drivers - this has happened since I first installed the hardware and on each subsequent driver version.

Have I changed the RAM frequency in the right manner? All I did was change the XMP to profile 1 - do I need to make any other changes elsewhere?

Many thanks in advance!
