why cant i get any more than 60/61fps !

hey guys, on all my call of duty games i cannot seem to get any higher that 60/61fps even if i turn down all the settings, even with them all on the highest it doesnt change. is there something i need to do??

What are the specifications on your machine? Knowing this lets us better get an idea of the problem.

*EDIT* are you sure v-sync is off?

Most defiantly VSync. Or in-game Frame Cap. Turn off sync (via in game settings and/or nvidia control panel or and catalyst) . Or change frame cap limit:

C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name\Local Settings\Application Data\Activision\CoDWaW\players\profiles\Your Name\config_mp.cfg

Open it with Word Pad or note pad and change the setting to this:

com_maxfps 120


That said, depending on which COD, the folder may be different. Also, unless you have a monitor that refreshes more than 60hz (the standard), you will get screen tearing.

my system is, 8320 3.5ghz cpu
16gb 1600mhz ram
gtx 760
windows7

ive tried looking in the nvidia geforce settings for black ops 2 and it doesnt say anything about v-snyc?

i think i found what i had to change in the settings, it was marked up as .... 'sync every frame' ive switched that off now, ile give it a go.
