I have just built a new PC and installed a new 300gb SSD and a 2TB seagate drive as well as a 500gb drive from my old PC. However when I went to install a 1TB seagate drive (also from my old PC) it is not coming up in bios in the ATA port information or on my computer. I have tried several differet SATA CAbles and ports. It has got power going to it as it starts when the power turns on.
Please it has a lot of data i don't want to lose on it

Solution
You can examine the drive's diagnostic report via its serial terminal interface, but you will need a USB-serial TTL adapter. Don't issue any commands other than Ctrl-Z. The fix that is commonly touted for earlier 7200.11 models is data destructive in later models (because it does not correctly handle the non-resident G-list).
