How do I get data from SSD drive of old laptop?

Hello, I dropped my Lenovo U300s laptop which has Samsung SSD storage. As I was going to replace my laptop anyway, I decided to take it apart instead of getting it repaired. Problem is it's using SSD storage and I can't get my files. A normal hard drive I could place into an external case, but not so with SSD. Can anyone please help? How can I get my files from the SSD card?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

This is a tricky one because the Lenovo U300 doesnt use the normal SATA connector. You will pretty much have to repair the laptop to get your files, or restore your files from your backups that you have regularly created. ;)

If it is critical you can always contact a recovery specialist but it will cost an arm and a leg.

Sadly, it is best to steer away from laptops with proprietary hard drive and connectors.

Thanks for the answers. I have backups of important files, but one file in particular I have done about three weeks of work on without backing it up. I only have the old backup :( I guess I will contact Lenovo support as you suggested.

Thanks.
