i7-4700 + nvidia GT740M OR i7-4500 + nvidia GT750M
please help me out in selecting any one .........
i7 4th Generation (Core i7-4500U , 1.8 upto 3.0 GHz 4MB Cache 4 Cores ) -
with GPU nvidia Gt750M

or


intel 4th generation core i7 4700MQ( 2.4 Ghz upto 3.6 , 6MB cache , 4cores)
and GPU nvidia GT740M

i a mechncal engineering and i want faster performance as well has hidh resolution grapjics for modelling

just go with i7-4500 + nvidia GT750M or purchase gtx 770 if have some extra cash with you...

I'd choose the best cpu over the best graphic card in your case. Since the majority of modelling programs use CPU based calculation, the fastest CPU you get, the better your modelling performance get. Unless you want to do real time rendering with specific render engines like Vray RT, your graphic card won't help you with modelling.

i7 4700mq has 4 cores and 8 thread. It also run at higher clock speed. This will make it a more efficient processor for your need. This is why I'd go with the 4700MQ.

Note that using a notebook for intensive modelling might not be the best idea. Since this kind of activity requires alot from your computer, your CPU will basically run at turbo speed all the time. This might create temperature issues. A mid tower or even a compact mini ATX with a cpu cooler would help you fight that heat.

They are both core i7. The i7 4700mq has better benchmark performance tho.
