Hello I just want to know if my pc could compete with the next gen consoles the ps4 and xb1 my specs Acre monitor 1366x768
Amd fx 6300 at 3.5 ghz
Nvidia gtx 660 oc 2 gb gddr5
Gigabyte mobo
500 gb hard disk
8 gb ddr3
I don't mind playing at medium or high or at ultra settings
I just smooth and playable fps..

Not unless he just wants PS4 level graphics. Now in 6 years, playing pc games on ultra, yes it will be outdated. But in 6 years, it will still be a more powerful machine than the non-changing PS4. In 6 years, todays ultra graphics settings will be medium graphical settings. Then, when the PS5 comes out, he can spend less than the price of that console on a CPU, MB and GPU and play for the entirety of the PS5's lifetime.

So yes, to answer the question, for the entire lifetime of the PS4, you will be able to play games at graphical levels that are better than the PS4.
