I have a 1 TB HDD that has completely filled up. There is only 10.5 GB of data files and the rest appears to be OS and Application files. I have done Disk Cleanup, limited my Restore Points to 1% of disk space, eliminated unwanted folders, and even cleaned the Registry. My HDD space still disappears as soon as I free some up. Any ideas?

I figured it out. I had an old, outdated version of an antivirus program that I thought was no longer running. It was no longer running virus protection, but it was continuing to create log files. It had accelerated the logging and it was running new log files every minute. I deleted the old antivirus program, opened the hidden folders in Windows, and found the log folder. It was an 854 GB folder, full of nothing but log files for an antivirus program that was offering no protection to my machine. It is deleted now. It quickly filled up a 919 GB partition on a 1TB HDD. I heard long ago that if you have a problem that looks like a virus, but isn't, the problem is very likely to be the antivirus. Lesson learned.

all I can say on that is wow .. but I got a game that keeps a running log file nothing like what you had but I seen it don't self delete old logs but when I noticed it there were 3000 logs but I watched it when I run the game I generate from 30 to 60 logs in a sitting so after a year or two that's a lot of logs
