Screen goes Black when gaming

Hi,
Basically, I Built my pc about two years ago and have then only upgraded the psu, case and graphics card. All has been running fine until about two weeks ago when the screen turned off when playing a racing game. Since then i have monitored the temps which look fine, changed the psu and even tried a different graphics card to which the problem still persists. Any ideas?

If you tried a different video card already, you may have an issue with CPU/case heat, RAM, maybe motherboard or Windows itself.

First thing I'd try since it's free, is re-install Windows and install the drivers, see if that fixes things.

i'm sure you checked the monitor also? are the settings in the game compatible like trying to use a unsupported resolution or refresh rate??

Hi, thanks for the quick reply, I forgot to add I had just re installed windows and the problem stayed the ssme , thanks anyway!
