Hello everyone,
Essentially I'm at my wit's end; I cannot seem to figure this one out.
I just got a Samsung U28D590D and hooked it up to my system, which has two Sapphire r9 290x GPUs.
When I had problems, I immediately thought it could've been CrossFire causing the problem, but everything was the same on both cards individually as well..
When I plug the monitor in through DP 1.2, I get TONS of flickering and cutting in and out from the monitor when trying to use 4k res at 60Hz. When I take that down to 2560x1440, the issue goes away.
When I plug the monitor in through HDMI 1.4, it works at 4k, but only at 30Hz.
When I use both DP and HDMI to try and make an EyeFinity setup using two 1920x2160 displays, it works, but causes a major tearing issue down the center of the screen.
I've tried the Catalyst driver versions 14.4, 14.6 beta, and 13.12, all the same exact issue.
Any ideas on what to try next? My idea was to try a DP 1.2 to HDMI 1.4 adapter and try the EyeFinity using both DP connections on the two cards (since AMD says DP is better for EyeFinity)
I'm just wanting a way to get my monitor running at full 4k resolution, at 60Hz, without problems.
Thanks!
