This is super weird, randomly i plugged in my external drive and noticed that all the video files were either renamed with a .NOPE extension or a .MKNO file extension. I'm assuming some form of malware? I can play them without harm. I assume someone is trying to design a way to disable watching the media? Anyone else have an issue like this? Thanks.

"File extension .nope is a Navicat for Oracle exported table file that belongs to Database Files. .nope file store data in a structured format, organized into tables and fields."

Sources: http://file.downloadatoz.com/nope-file-extension/
http://extension.nirsoft.net/nope

Couldn't find anything on .MKNO after doing a quick search.

This is indeed quite odd as there is very little to be found about either of those file extensions. What extensions did the files have before they were changed? Do you get the same result if you connect the drive to a different computer?
