For some reason videos are jagged and have rough edges. The outlines of people is sort of blurry/pixelated. I have no idea on what's causing this. I mostly watch youtube videos but it happens everywhere. (netflix, twitch, hulu). I only use chrome but it also happens on firefox as well. It's not my internet connection and video quality is always 720p or 1080p. I re-installed my graphics drivers but it didn't help. Here are some examples of the video quality. All are in 720p (happens in 1080p too) Even the text in the videos is blurry/unclear.

My graphics card is up to date. Here are my specs:

Intel i7 4770K @3.50GHz (OC 4.10GHz)
Msi Z87-G43 Motherboard
Geforce 650 ti Boost 2GB (was OC, now set to default)
4 GB Ram
Windows 7 64 bit
Screen res is 1440x900

Anyone know whats going on or have some suggestions?

Just taking a random assumption of this but, you mentioned the screen res is set on 1440x900? have you tried setting your monitor internally to 1920x1080? it sounds like to me that might be the problem, or perhaps even your monitor driver. Right click desktop and select screen resolution and make sure its set on 1920x1080, I'm not familiar with nvidia but perhaps some kind of resolution setting in their driver catalyst needs adjusting?

and as silly as this sounds, I'm not pertaining to you in general but do you have the correct connectors hooked up to your graphics card and monitor? (ex. DVI-DVI)

My monitor is about 5 years old. It's 19 inches so the max resolution is 1440x900. The monitor,Nvidia software, and Windows 7 properties say that it's 1440x900 so that can't be the problem. The display is hooked up via VGA and has been for the past 5 years. Decided to try to hook it up with a DVi but still had the issue. Never ran into an issue until this past week.

I just tried out another monitor and still have the jagged/pixelated edges. It has to be something software related or my video card.

Could possibly be the card Chris not sure :(  could possibly be overheating as well just a theory, also have you tried adjusting any "video quality settings in your nvidia settings at all?" just a suggestion I'm assuming you already tried that too huh lol

did you set your amd catalyst to default graphics settings? sometimes on occasion you may have to manually change things to compensate the game your playing. Also berna do you have the current beta driver installed 14.6? or a later driver?
open your catalyst and click information then click software it will tell you the current driver. Sorry for the late reply I just got off work.

And one more option, does your VGA have all the supports that you need? jagged edges sounds like AA (anti aliasing) does your VGA have a supported shaders? something else to think about.

If none of these options work please post a new topic with your problem and link me every single part you have installed on that post and keep me updated.
