I run and play only dota2 and my cpu spikes around 66% - 100% usage, im at quad core (core 2 quad q8300) processor and a GDDR5 1gb 128bit GT630 video card with latest driver installed and microsoft security essentials and scan daily for security safety purposes. What might be the cause for this issue? any suggestions, recommendations or ideas?

My system:
intel core 2 quad q8300 (4 cores) @ 2.50ghz
8gb 1333mhz ddr3 ram
ga-g41mt-s2pt rev 2.1
320gb WD HDD
inno3d GT630 1GB gddr5 128bit with latest driver at 1600 x 900 res

Solution
2013 game, 2006 CPU. There isn't anything else you can do
except upgrade. My main computer has a core 2 duo and newer games often peg it to 100%

I am posting from a 486 right now and it is sitting at 50-90% usage as I type this

That is just how CPU tech goes

I know its old but look at the processor, ram and the graphics card it should run well on that game considerably.

there no other thing which eat up that big other than dota2. Im running at high settings, all checked except for vsync as there should no problem with that settings just like those times I used my GT630 2GB GDDR3 128BIT before I upgraded to GDDR5 GT630 1GB 128BIT.

i found out that my video card (gt630 1gb gddr5 128bit) is not capable on running 1600 x 900 resolution at high settings on dota2 games thats why it freeze nor crash on a random times because I tried to run it on a medium settings either in low settings and it seems fine.
