My 450$ gaming build vs $800 pre-built LOL???

My build is Absolute budget, and can be compared to a 860$ pre-built.

My Build:
CPU: AMD Athlon X4 760K 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor ($84.73 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: MSI A78M-E35 Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard ($58.03 @ Mwave)
Memory: Team Vulcan 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($64.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($54.43 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R7 260X 2GB Video Card ($115.38 @ Newegg)
Case: Cooler Master N200 MicroATX Mid Tower Case ($34.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Corsair Builder 430W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($19.99 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE DVD/CD Writer ($14.98 @ OutletPC)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8 Professional (OEM) (64-bit) (Purchased For $0.00)
Total: $447.52

Cpus: AMD Athlon 750k vs A10 7850K APU

The pre-built has a slightly better CPU.

Gpu: The pre-built is using an APU with the R7 260x graphics, which is the exact same dedicated card I am using in my build.

The RAM is the same.

Yes it has 2Tb hard drive, I'll shav 60$ off the pre-built to make it 800$. You only need 330W with the pre-build APU.

This shows that my 450$, build is equivalent to a 800$ pre-build gaming desktop and nearly performs on the same level as a $860 pre-build.

If I was to invest 60 more dollars into an Fx-6300.
The build would easily crush the 860$ pre-build GAMING DESKTOP for 510$.

is it save to say my desktop is equivalent to a 860$ gaming desktop?
or even performs better with a fx-6300?

  1. well #1 you have your OS as $0, where normally we have to pay $90-100. So your build is $550 minimum.

Comparing a desktop to a laptop is stupid as laptops cannot dissipate the heat nearly as well as desktops.

I don't know what the point of this thread is, do you want us to be amazed by your building skillz or what?
  2. What can I say? Pre-built PCs are ripoffs 99.99% of the time.

This shows that my 450$, build is equivalent to a 800$ pre-build gaming laptop.

What laptop? You linked a desktop, not a laptop.
