Need help with FPS

So i have literally just got this computer, it has an i7-4770, GTX 770 graphics card and 8GB RAM. I have installed minecraft and i am getting 30 fps, surely this is not right? i have installed all the drivers, allocated more ram but still only 30 fps... if anyone cane help me, that would be great!

I think so. could you link the correct version if i dont have it?

Yes, i have changed the fps limiter to unlimited and it is still the same
