I have a ASUS Maximus Hero motherboard. I bought some Corsair speakers 2.1 and after a year of use they began to crackle even unplugged from the motherboard. I replaced them yesterday with a pair of Genius 2.0 speakers (15 inch tower) and I noticed the exact same thing is starting to happen to the left side of the speaker. It's quiet now and usually only happens with heavier bass sounds but what would be causing this? Is it the motherboard? Or something else?
