Hey!
I upgraded my computer last fall.
I got a brand new Asus Z87 Pro, (a little older) Asus Radeon Directcu II 7970 (3gb ram), a i5 4670k CPU and 16 GB RAM.

Up until a few days ago I've had no problems with stability...All of a sudden I started to experience computer shutdown & reboots randomly during gameplay. This only happens when I play more modern CPU/GPU resource-hog type of games.
During normal Surfing and playing lesser games I've had no probs so far.

I've already checked the CPU/GPU temperatures. As far as I can tell they are normal, even during high load.
The CPU goes only near the 50 degree (celsius) line, and the GPU does not go above 65+ degrees C!

As far as I know, neither of these temps are enough to cause shutdown & reboots.

No, never any overclocking.

The PSU is older than rest of the rig however. Maybe pushing 6 years.
Its an Corsair 1000W.
I did have a problem with the PSU when I first upgraded my computer this fall (minus the PSU). The computer immedieatly shut down whenever I started the computer. I later found out it was because of the power-surge feature so I turned it off and it hasnt been a problem since.

*edit*

I made a quick descision today. Since my current PSU was 6 years old I figured I'd buy a replacement anyways.

If I still have problems I'll return here.
