Need help updating Motherboard BIOS!

Okay, I have a Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P motherboard with an AMD 780g chipset and an AMD SB700

Southbridge. But, whenever I try to find my motherboard on Gigabyte's website, I can only find a

GA-78LMT-S2P motherboard with an AMD 760g chipset. Is this something to worry about whilst

updating my BIOS or not? PLEEEEEEASE HELP! :)

  1. How do you know that you have the 780g chipset? Are you sure that's your motherboard?
  2. GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-S2P
    Chipset: AMD 760G + SB710

Are you using some third party software to find the motherboard specifications?

Yh, I'm using a software called CPU-Z to get the details :)

Strange indeed... Why do you need to update your BIOS? I wouldn't fiddle with it if you're not having some issues.
