Hi ,

So I just downloaded the game from Uplay and didn't install it yet to make sure that I'll be able to backup the game in case I formatted the hard later for windows re install or something

Now in the ubisoft game launcher I've no files in the cache/installers but I've in the folder named games I can see "Watch_dogs"

So what is the proper way to back it up with no need to fully redownload it again ?

you may be seeing how these steam type games work. see you think you bought a game but you just paid to rent. cause with out them you really got nothing. but lets say you put it on a disk and down the road you want to install it from off the disk then you go online with it to use it they see that and think its a illegal copy and close your account over this then what?? its just silly to pay for something you don't get eaven with there retail copy of games you buy at the store on a disk if you don't go and agree with there terms and accept there download content at all times you don't play or maybe even get to load it so then it amounts to you now own a $60 coaster... lucky for me i'm an old gamer and all my games are 100% on the disk for me to load play when ever I want when I want with out any 3ed party involvement or internet connection. I can run my own server with 90% of them and have lan party's and have to go check in with some 3ed party for there ok...[opinion]
good luck

I didn't get through junkey's post to see if there was a solution in there, lack of sentence structure made it tl: dr.

There are settings in Uplay where you define where to save installers and games. In there you can set it to not delete the installers when completed. It may be possible to backup that folder and install it again from that, but I have not done this myself, so I am not sure this actually works.
