Hello everyone, just put together a new PC. Building was fine, however now I'm having pretty serious issues trying to get the computer to work.

First, I decided to do a test boot outside the case with most components installed aside from fans etc, this worked and booted to BIOS (however this was only a very quick boot test).

After putting all the components in the case, the computer refused to boot at all, I'm using a ASUS z87 plus board so a red LED indicator appeared on the "VGA_LED", the other components just flashed. After this, I decided to take the graphics card (gtx 770) out of the board to see if it worked, the system booted and also installed windows 8.1.

When Windows 8.1 finished installing it said it needed to restart, however the computer refused to restart again, this time displaying "CPU_LED" as red (cpu fan was also spinning noticeably faster). After powering the PC down I restarted it manually, and managed to boot into Windows 8.1. After about 5 minutes of being on the desktop the computer completely shut down again, again showing the "CPU_LED" indicator.

What should I do? I'm currently using a 600w power supply and I think this could possibly be the culprit, the instance of the computer powering down also occurred without a GPU in the board.

Full specs:

cpu: i5-4690 at 3.5ghz, gpu: gtx 770, hdd: 2tb wd green, ssd: 40gb intel, Motherboard: z87-plus, RAM: Corsair Vengeance (4x2gb), PSU: Corsair CX600M (600w)

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm very worried about this
