ASROCK 960GC-GSFX motherboard

New ASROCK 960GC-GSFX motherboard, Intrgrated AMD Radeon 3000 Graphics is not sending a signal to my ACER LCD monitor, model AL2216.

What can I do to fix the problem? I can't find any settings that can be changed on the motherboard or the monitor. Do I need to buy a separate graphics card? I'm not a gamer, what kind of card tdo I need?

Have you checked it's not the monitor that's packed up? (test it on another PC).
Have you tried a new signal cable?

Those two things are essential to try before you blame your PC.

Thanks for your suggestion. I tried 2 other cables and one newer monitor. Same results, nada! Only other thing I can think of, I have 4G of ram but it is in one stick. I have ordered 2 - 2G sticks from Newegg and I'm hoping that will solve the problem.
