Should I get an SSD for OS only?

I have a 1TB HDD and I was wondering if an SSD would be worth it for faster boot times. The computer is not yet build. Please list reasons for your answers. Thanks!

SSDs are optional really. They make windows boot times insanely fast, and load times of programs much faster as well. Windows just feels a lot 'snappier' all around.

So you don't NEED to have one in your system. But now that I have one, I would never build a system without one.
