what cpu runs cooler??? q6600 or q6700

I'm trying to figure outwhich of these cpus run cooler my fsb speed supported by my mother board is 1066 and its a small form case so im trying to get a quad that does run too hot

if you get a q6600, make sure you get one with the G0 stepping which runs 10w cooler, but both it and the q6700 are 95w chips which should have very similar thermal profiles. Being the same stepping and design, i'm guessing the slower q6600 will run a tiny bit cooler, but not enough to trouble yourself, i'd probably try to find a q6700.

If planning to OC, the the Q6600 which OCs better and with a decent cooler doesn't get overly warm even at3.6, though 3 might be a better OC to keep it even cooler

see I'm looking for a replacement for a Xeon processor I have a small form pc with a small copper pipe heatsink in it and am trying to find a cooler quad core.. its a xeon x3230 and getting 50c idle idk why it runs so hot im useing artic 5 silver and the heat sink is secure
