Hey guys, I am new to building desktop computers. I would like to ask you guys if my parts that I picked are the best that I can do for about a $1000 budget. I have picked these parts based upon reviews and some friends that suggested them to me. Please note that this build is primarily used for gaming.

Here is the list.

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core $224.98
CPU Cooler: Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing $29.98
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX LGA1155 $128.48
Memory: Corsair XMS3 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 $79.99
Storage: Sandisk Extreme II 120GB 2.5" SSD $85.95
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB
Case: NZXT Phantom ATX Full Tower $104.98
Power Supply: Corsair 750W ATX12V / EPS12V $122.99
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) $89.99
Monitor: Asus VE228H 21.5" $119.99
Keyboard: Microsoft 3TJ-00001 $14.99

The final price is $1002.32, If it could stay about here that'd be great but my budget can be extended a bit. The sources I used have been PcPartPicker.com, Amazon, Ebay, and Newegg. I may buy some of these parts used as well just to dumb to down the price a bit.

Also, some things I plan on doing in the future are
- SLI 2 660 ti (I believe it is possible correct me if im wrong)
- Upgrade CPU (maybe one day upgrade to an i7?)

I also have a 500gb harddrive that I salvaged from an earlier build (around 2006 :( ) . I alreasy have a mic, mouse and like I said above a 500gb hardrive.

Thanks for taking the time to look at this

Dang, thanks SR-71 Blackbird, now what is different about these parts than the ones I picked out? You did change a few things and I would like to know why. Is it because they are a bigger bang for the buck or what? Thanks for helping me! I really appreciate it.

Oh and another thing how come you changed my sexy case XP lol is that case better for what I am going for? Thanks again!
